An Orange a Day

The old adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" may now be joined with "an orange a day keeps the doctor away."

Scientists have discovered that eating mandarin oranges may help in preventing liver cancer, arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and insulin resistance.

The substance in oranges is a natural chemical which is just one of over 600 natural substances called carotenoids.

Carotenoids also help prevent stroke, macular degeneration, prostate cancer and increase the protection of the immune system.
