Asparagus For Health

Asparagus has been used medicinally since long ago by the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks.

Asparagus contains 60 percent of the recommended daily allowance of folic acid. The leading vegetable to make that claim. Asparagus also contains many other necessary vitamins for good health.

Asparagus is an excellent diuretic.

Asparagus is easy to grow. Once planted, it will continue to produce for up to 15 years. Asparagus shoots must be harvested daily as they can grow 6 to 10 inches a day. Asparagus beetles and slugs are the only pests that attack asparagus.
