Coffee Prevents Diabetes

Coffee can help protect against Type II diabetes.

UCLA researchers have found that a hormone called SHBG is found in higher levels in the blood of coffee drinkers. People with this higher level are 56 percent less likely to become diabetic than non-coffee drinkers. Drinking four cups of caffeinated coffee a day increases the levels of SHBG. Decaffeinated coffee did not raise SHBG levels.

Besides being delicious coffee has many other health benefits as well. It protects against degenerative diseases, Parkinson's disease, tooth decay and even breast cancer just to name a few.
