Exercise Prevents Colon Cancer



Exercise is necessary for good health but studies show that it can also ward off cancer. Just 30 minutes of exercise a day is all that is required.

According to statistics at the National Program of Cancer Registries bowel and rectal cancer is the 4th most commonly diagnosed cancer among all races in the US. Colon cancer has been increasing in Europe since 1975 becoming the nations second largest killer.

Dr Andrew Renehan, from the University of Manchester, says that "Yet we know that large numbers of colon cancer cases could be avoided by reducing exposure to risk factors, two of the most easily controllable of which are related to physical inactivity and excess weight," said Dr Renehan.

Walking is one of the best and easiest exercises for all ages.
