Herbs For Flu Season

All herbs are used medicinally as well as culinary but a few are especially helpful for cold and flu season.

Hippocrates, the Father of Western Medicine once said, "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food." It's never been more true than it is with herbs.

Ginger and garlic are especially good for colds and flu. Ginger is a natural decongestant and antihistamine. Ginger is also great for an upset stomach that comes with the flu. Garlic is nature's penicillin. It has antibacterial and antiviral properties.
