Christmas Tree Gifts

Christmas trees always have gifts placed under them. How about the gift of caring for a tree this Christmas?

In a joint effort with Friends of the Urban Forest, San Francisco Environment is starting a new tradition this year. Selling Christmas trees to homeowners to be enjoyed in the home and then, instead of shredding them to mulch, they will plant the trees in the city after Christmas.

Even if you don't live in San Francisco you can still do the same. Plant your live Christmas tree after Christmas. Artificial trees are always a safe environmental choice but for those who feel Christmas isn't Christmas without a live tree, this is an excellent choice.
