Don't Attract Slugs To Gardens

Almost every garden has from one to hundreds of slugs. Don't attract more slugs than are already in the garden.

Many baits are used by gardeners to trap slugs. The problem with baits, especially the most popular of all, the beer bait, actually attracts more and more slugs for the brew.

The best natural way to control slugs is to attract toads to the garden who will then eat the slugs.

Before the toads arrive and make their home in your garden, eggshells are the favorite of many gardeners. Toads do not like crossing the sharp edges of crushed eggshells.
