Garage Sales Under Federal Laws

Be careful of what you sell at a garage sale. The federal government may just impose a $100,000.00 fine on you.

A new handbook published and distributed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that the new laws enacted by the Consumer Product Safety

Improvement Act prevent garage salers and other second-hand type outlets from selling any items that have been recalled by it's manufacturer.

An initiative, called Resale Roundup, is enforcing the new regulations.
