Garlic Prices Rising

Now is the perfect time to grow your own garlic. Both for economic and health benefits.

Americans produce only 5 percent of the garlic used in the United States. China, the country from whom America imports most of her garlic, has sent only half as much garlic in 2009 as in other years at three times the cost.

The Chinese are aware of garlic's antibiotic properties and are consuming their garlic to help prevent the H1N1 flu.

In 2010 prices of garlic in food stores is likely to rise. Growing garlic organically in a backyard garden is very easy and enjoyable.
