Most Hated Garden Pest

In 2009, the most hated garden pest, as voted by gardeners themselves was, slugs and snails.

Spring and fall are the best times to control both slugs and snails.

Removing plant debris from the garden in the fall is one of the best ways to prevent slugs in the spring. Cleaning out any remaining debris before spring planting will help lower slug populations for the upcoming season of gardening.
